Welcome from the Mayor
Welcome to the City of Burbank — where community comes first.
Dear Neighbors,
It is my honor and privilege to serve as your Mayor. Since taking office in December 2025, our City Council has been focused on the issues that matter most to you: affordable housing, public safety, infrastructure improvements, and maintaining the exceptional quality of life that makes Burbank so special.
This spring, we are especially excited about several milestones: the Chandler Bikeway expansion wrapping up in June, the new Stough Canyon trail improvements, and the continued revitalization of the Burbank Town Center. Our Community Budget Workshop on April 22 is your chance to weigh in on the FY26–27 budget — I hope to see you there.
I hold office hours every Thursday from 4–6 PM at City Hall. Stop by — the coffee is on me. You can also reach me directly by email or through the Burbank 311 app.
Together, we are building a Burbank that works for everyone.
Vice Mayor
Vice Mayor Zizette Mullins serves alongside Mayor Takahashi and the rest of the five-member City Council. The Council sets policy direction for the city, approves the annual budget, and appoints the City Manager who oversees day-to-day operations. Council meetings are held on Tuesdays at 6:00 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers and are livestreamed on The Burbank Channel.
