Dear BUSD Families,

As your Interim Superintendent, I am honored to lead a district that truly puts students first. This school year, BUSD has continued to innovate and grow. Our new media arts academy at Burbank High is attracting attention statewide, and our dual enrollment partnerships with local colleges are giving students a head start on their futures.

I want to highlight our commitment to relationship-centered leadership — building trust between educators, families, and students is the foundation of everything we do. This spring, I encourage every family to attend our school showcases and participate in the budget workshops that shape how we invest in our schools.

Every child in Burbank deserves an excellent education, and every day our 1,200+ staff members work to deliver on that promise. Thank you for being part of the BUSD community.

Board Meetings

Public meetings & how to participate

Board meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month at 7:00 PM at the BUSD Administrative Building, 1900 W Olive Ave. Meetings are open to the public and include time for community comments. Agendas are published 72 hours in advance on the BUSD website.

Board meetings are also livestreamed and archived on the BUSD website for residents who cannot attend in person.

BUSD is recognized statewide for its performing arts programs, career technical education (CTE) pathways, and athletics. The district offers dual enrollment with local colleges, AP courses in all core subjects, and specialized academies in media arts, engineering, and health sciences.
