Founded by dentist David Burbank in 1887 and incorporated in 1911, the City of Burbank has grown from a small agricultural community into the Media Capital of the World. Home to Warner Bros. Studios, Walt Disney Studios, and numerous entertainment companies, Burbank is the creative engine of the global entertainment industry.

The city spans 17.3 square miles in the southeastern end of the San Fernando Valley, bordered by the Verdugo Mountains to the east and Griffith Park to the south.
